We follow the original lineage of our art, which is a very special attribute of our school, allowing us to pass on the highest level of instruction to our students. Kids Kickstart has just been formed and is an entirely volunteer driven with no paid staff.
Soo Bahk Do is a Korean art founded in 1945. We provide instruction in a traditional martial art called Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan. Our most elite program is our Master Club program, which enables students who wish to take their training to the highest level and become Black Belts and beyond learn exclusive material and special techniques that many other practitioners only hear about. We also have a program for Teens and Adults, age 13 and up. We have a Beginner Children Program, for ages 6-12, and also an advanced Children's Program for students progressing in their studies as they near their Black Belt test. We have a KickStart program, which is designed for children age 4-6. Within every child is the power to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more. We train students with developmental and physical disabilities and injuries, and believe that everyone can benefit from the training provided in their own unique way. We accept students of all ages, from age 4 and up. In teaching, I strive to impart the same things that training has provided me over the past 20 years into my students' lives. I began training at age 9 and the lessons, values, and enthusiasm imparted through the art set my life on a positive path that allowed me to accomplish many goals I have set, achieve more than I had ever thought possible, and overcome obstacles along the way.
Rupert's Karate Academy was founded in 2013 as a realization of my lifelong goal to teach martial arts.
